Located in East Sussex in the High Weald AONB, the site is approximately one third semi-natural ancient woodland, one third grassland and one third fishing ponds including the largest match fishing water in he country.
We were retained to assist with obtaining planning permission for a range of fishermans’ facilities and have been involved with two planning appeals at the site. Permission has now been granted for new facilties including a cafe with flexible teaching area and match presentation space, a wardens dwelling, replacement machinery barn and bespoke fishermans’ cabins. Our input to this project included:
- Review and advise on scheme layout
- Preparation of landscape mitigation proposals including soft landscape and earthworks
- Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment
- Expert Witness at planning inquiry
- Preparation of AVRs
