This large-scale mixed use development is set in a 263 hectare landscape park, with housing, office and business space, schools and university, shopping, open spaces, leisure and community facilities all integrated within a green infrastructure. The development concept promotes quality of life and seeks to provide a sustainable environment within which people can live, work, play and study. Kings Hill is named as the country’s most successful new village in a national report on placemaking.
As independent landscape advisors to the site developer and management company, we have carried out landscape and visual assessment and provided hard and soft landscape design for the main infrastructure elements of Phases 1 and 2, including greenways, public highways, a country park, open spaces and residential areas.
We are currently working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the master-planning and EIA for Phase 3 of the development.
